Senior Associate Director: Principal Gifts & International Fundraising

Rima Zaitoon has 24 years in Fundraising and Private Banking – consistently securing business capital and multi – million dollar gifts for her clients.  These gifts included $30 million solicited during her first year at Yale, the American ‘Ivy League’ University she joined in 2006.

Since then, Ms. Zaitoon has managed relationships with Yale’s top-rated donors and prospects, including family foundations and the University’s international alumni. She was equally successful during her previous postings in banking and academia.  At Park Avenue Bank, New York,  she originated 17% of their deposit base from U.S, Middle Eastern and international clients.

At International College (Beirut, Lebanon and New York) she raised $7.5 million during the school’s first international fundraising campaign – exceeding target by 57%.  And at the American University of Beirut, Ms. Zaitoon identified principal and major donors, generating more than 10% of the annual gift total.

Ms. Zaitoon earned her Bachelor degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the American University of Beirut and an Accounting and Economic Certificate from the Economics Institute in Boulder, and a Market Analysis and Accounting Certificate from the American Institute of Banking.
